A native northern New Mexican, Isaiah was born and raised in Las Vegas, NM. While growing up in the beautiful, mountainous landscape, he developed his passion for the outdoors and interest in conservation. Upon graduating from Robertson High School in 2016, he moved to Albuquerque to attend the University of New Mexico to study Biology. He began his journey with Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC) as an Assistant Crew Lead in the summer of 2021, and also served as a Crew Supervisor in 2022. Through RMYC, he found a community of like minded individuals passionate about conservation and willing to do the gritty work necessary to help maintain our beautiful spaces here in New Mexico. With his previous experience as a corpsmember, he brings a perspective that will help facilitate the personal and professional growth of young adults serving in our crews this summer. When not in blues, Isaiah can be found surveying the skies through binoculars looking for some exciting birds, or full of chalk at Stone Age trying out new bouldering routes!
