Conservation Crews Up and Running

RMYC Conservation Program 2013 has started! 21 new Americorps members will be out in the community engaged in public service. A majority of their season will be focused on fuels reduction and habitat restoration in northern New Mexico. Partnering with agencies like the Carson National Forest and the State Trust Land Office, crewmembers will work to reduce the threat of wildfire to the communities of New Mexico.The crew will start their season with an orientation to RMYC, then they will receive certification in Forest Workers Safety, First Aid/CPR, and S212 Equivalency.
