We are forever grateful for the grant from the Albuquerque Community Foundation for supporting Corpsmembers in their journey to a healthy, productive life. Funds from the Foundation are being used to support our life-skills and workforce development training programs in our Middle Rio Grande Office in Albuquerque. RMYC is pleased to participate in the local efforts in the Taos region to implement the Enchanted Circle Trails Plan. We worked with local partners the Taos Land Trust, Turquoise Tours, and the Enchanted Circle Trails Association to promote the benefits of the plan and to encourage the community to rally behind it’s implementation. Rocky Mountain Youth Corps, in partnership with the New Mexico Department of Health, helps to reduce underage drinking, DWI and tobacco use among young people in Taos County. To accomplish our goals we raise awareness through media campaigns, support local businesses in reducing underage sales, and collaborate with other entities committed to substance abuse prevention
