Rocky Mountain Youth Corps inspires young adults to “discover their potential for healthy, productive lives.” At RMYC, Corpsmembers are the foundation of our organization. Our training department staff work to create experiences in which growth and measurable progress are not only attainable, but celebrated.
As part of our comprehensive approach, RMYC’s Training Department seeks to increase the personal self-sufficiency and employability of each Corpsmember. We accomplish this through on-the-job training, focused in four Competency Areas (Skill Building, Teamwork & Responsibility, Leading a Healthy Lifestyle, Civic Engagement & Service Ethic). We model positive youth development, where experiential learning is fostered and nurtured. Our role is to offer fundamental life skills to the next generation of young adults who will continue the legacy of environmental and community service.
